Van Hollen’s seat is secure and has been for a decade plus. This is not an election stunt.

The deported individual has not had due process. If this situation stands, anyone with brown skin wearing Chicago Bulls merch can be whisked out of the country and disappeared. That’s not how the United States of America is supposed to roll.

Van Hollen knows what’s what. The significance of what is happening here cannot be overstated, the Trump administration is flouting the law. It should return this man to Maryland and then present its evidence about his involvement in MS-13 in a court of law —and let a fact finder make the call.

In any event, with the Trump administration in contempt (or soon to be) this is likely going back up to the Supremes.

The Congress is on recess. He is using his time to try to get one of his constituents freed. Did you complain about the myriad GOP congresspeople who have been there this week and DiD gain access?

Whether Congress is in session or not, this is not the best use of time and resources when potentially thousands of Maryland residents are losing their jobs. Only Democrats throw up their hands and scream "we can't do anything" when they are getting bulldozed by Republican policies.

BS. Garcia was picked up with other MS 13, was wearing bullhorn insignia they are known to use, had a confidential informant testify he was MS 13 and didn’t deny it. He was illegal, didn’t claim asylum for years until he was picked up at home
Depot. He has a removal order that was never rescinded.

The only error here was sending him to El S. At this point it’s that nation’s call how to proceed because he is their citizen.

The contempt case is not Garcia - it’s Boasberg’s court. Keep up. In that one scotus said the judge never had jurisdiction in the first place and yet the judge is claiming Trump should have followed an oral order which isn’t the law. The written order came down after the planes departed.

First, this man isn't brown - he's a white Hispanic male. Second, The US has been whisking people overseas for decades. It's what we do best.
