Maybe we need an atheists forum

And DCUM is the US (mostly) in the 21st Century.

So it’s not happening here.

So why spend so much time - here and now - posting the Atheist Gotcha Q of the Day?

Well when Christians try to share the good news with you, which is literally a central piece of our religious practice you get all offended. And obviously the same is true when your non-belief dictates that you should proselytize your atheism to convert others….so there will be a natural clash.
The difference is that in my worldview, it is actually harmful to cause others to fall away from Christ. And in your worldview—it makes no difference whether someone believes or not because the result is the same.
So I just don’t understand the motivation on Team Atheist that causes you to agitate for sport.

This forum has become an attacking and defending of beliefs which is has gotten really old.

OP is Atheist.

So are you.

Nobody on the religion forum is actually religious.

It’s 80% atheists.

Lol
Conservative estimate

Since the majority of the posts on the Internet come from 1% of the people, it's not 80% of the posters. It's just that a few very angry loudmouths dominate the conversation and really destroy a lot of discussion that could otherwise be meaningful.

Ask Jeff to remove Religion from recent topics and you'll get the echo chamber you so desire.

Don’t care?

They care enough to spend their free time posting on the religion forum of a mommy blog. I’d say they care quite a bit.

and OP cares enough to suggest an atheists forum.

Not OP but it's annoying when posters come on here, ask a reasonable question, are getting good answers, and then the whole thing is destroyed in about 3 minutes by one poster rage-posting cruel responses because they refuse to get help over their unresolved family issues about religion.

I'm grateful Jeff cleans those posts up when people report them, at least.

No! Let the atheists stay. They pose very good questions, reasonable and logical questions that every Christian should be prepared to answer.

Granted, they will dismiss the answer because they dismiss the bible. As Jesus said, if they will not listen to the law or the prophets (which includes Jesus), then they will not listen to anybody, even if someone came back from the dead.

The atheist will rationalize and say it is a coincidence, or will be explained by Science eventually.

Let the atheists stay. They are not stupid people, only spiritually blind. They just cannot see what we Christians see so plainly: In the beginning, God created.

The reasonable ones are definitely good to have around.

It's the ones who flood every thread with their hate that get old.

Why are you guys so obsessed with atheists?

Because you interrupt threads with specific questions about Christianity or questions about religion in general to spew hate at us.

You typically leave posts that are specifically about other religions more alone. Must be nice.
