Put out a napkin. Put out a glass. You get the point. We still laugh lovingly about the 17 things to this day. |
| I can commiserate, OP. I was just feeling annoyed by all the things I have to do to get ready for bed every night- pee, brush teeth, floss, wash face, apply face lotion, eye drops, change clothes, apply hand lotion, moisturize nails, get glass of water, take vitamins, wash night guard, charge devices.. it’s getting dangerously close to 17 things and that’s just bedtime hygiene for the most part. |
Actually, in terms of time, it is. The recommendation is 30 minutes of cardio at least 5 times a week for cardiovascular health. Stretching and strength training is in addition to cardio. For most people, stretching and strength training doesn't raise their heart rate enough to count towards the recommended cardio. |
I didn't say cardio includes strength training, but it's all "exercise." Many people focus on hitting the recommended minutes each week rather than doing it daily. And you're likely not doing strength training every day either, so it's certainly doable to work in all types of exercise each week. If you have an hour to exercise, some days it may be all cardio, other days it may be half cardio and half strength training, or maybe just all strength training. But regardless of how you parse it out, it's all "exercise." |

Exercise has always been part of my day, like brushing my teeth. I was an athlete and then a regular gym goer. If I don’t exercise/move, I don’t feel good. It’s a complete mood booster even on days I’m dragging. I always feel better.
I’m not obsessive with what I put in my mouth. I eat eggs or oatmeal and a Greek yogurt fruit or salad—then dinner is whatever I’m make for my teen son still at home and husband. I sometimes have treats. A little chocolate every day. I do t sweat what I eat when I go out to dinner- have the cocktail, etc. I’ve cut back on alcohol because at 55- I don’t feel great anymore when I do drink. I basically don’t follow a list OP. I do Pilates or my CrossFit type gym, hot yoga or peloton and then a long walk after work or when my kid is at practice. So some weights, some cardio. I still work full-time, but thankfully from home. I don’t do crazy skincare. I have been a Retin-A user for over 30 years. I was with cetaphil, use a glycolic acid toner and retin-a at night. I don’t have any wrinkles- olive skin. Basically - stuff is routine that I do t think about it. I just do it. It doesn’t feel like a hassle - just part of life. Oh- 6 weeks time to take an hour to get my roots done. |

| Nope. These are just things I do on a daily basis. They require no thought and minimal effort. |
| Half of these are things you DON’T do, the other half are things that essentially are done at the same time (ie eating lots of nutrient dense food helps take care of the fiber). It’s not really as hard as you’re making it. Do resistance training 3-4 times a week, walk as much as possible, water throughout the day, no alcohol, limit processed foods- it’s really pretty routine stuff. |

Me too. I started green juicing (veggies) and there is the logistics that you have to get used to and then make routine - - buying organic veggies - storing them - washing them, peeling them, juicing, storing the juice - washing the mason jars, washing the juicer. |
