The situation is far worse than you claim. Democrats are also in a delusional bubble in which they will fall for any lie as long as their leaders are the ones spreading it. Just look at how allegedly intelligent Democrats on this forum lied to themselves and attacked others instead of admitting the obvious truth of Biden's impairment. Democrat insiders are confessing it all now, but anyone who wasn't a propagandized mouth breather should've been able to see that for themselves in real time. |
PP, go to the Fox News website right now and see what they are covering. Tell me if it’s even close for the biggest news stories affecting America right now. Also how is a moderate Dem so attuned to how they covered protests that happened yesterday? Seems odd, as the only people who actually put that channel on that regularly are those who watch it. |
Every accusing a confession. At least you magas are consistently and predictably gullible. |
You honestly believe, out of millions of protesters, none of them could articulate why they were there? You truly believe they didn't just cherry pick interviews that made the person sound incoherent, in order to support the Fox narrative? You are in a cult, and are completely unable to have an individual thought and to think an issue through logically. |
Welp. Times they are a-changin' now. The reality is that Americans being left behind economically get a vote on how to deal with the policies that gutted their small towns. |
This. |
exactly but Democrats used to be the party of labor no more |
You aren't smarter than them. You're falling for the same BS, but you'll happily swallow it so long as the person has a D in front of their name. They lied to us all. That's not okay. Anything else you attempt to say about it is a justification for what is patently not okay. We need to demand better. Democrat or Republican. Our leaders are supposed to serve and to answer to us. |
Oh my God, can you even read? I told you in my post that I make it a point of consuming right wing media! Yes of course know how they covered it — I deliberately went to watch it, as I indeed regularly do, which I specifically told you. I go out of my way to consume right wing media specifically so I am not in the DCUM bubble. That is what I told you! Jesus sometimes some of you here are so slow. |
You're right. But Republicans are not and have never been the party of labor. Neither party is concerned with the interests of labor. We desperately need to remind them (all of them) that labor built and runs this country, and that they ignore us at their peril. |
This!!! It is the height of privilege to be whining about the loss of manufacturing jobs for half a century. Hollywood spent a lot of time dwelling on the costs of the decline of steel and factory jobs in the 80s. The country mourned with Hollywood and moved on. Time for these young men to focus on being serious and responsible. |
It actually doesn’t matter how much you or other elites look down on and despise a group of disposessed young men who think they don’t have a future. It doesn’t matter how much you scorn them, how much better you believe you are than them. All you are doing with your derision and scorn is hardening the group, building it up, making it stronger. And once you create that group, everyone experiences the consequences, because societies that have large groups of disaffected young men who feel they have nothing to lose will suffer. And make no mistake, you and other DCUM Democrats created that group as much as the wealthy Republicans did. Your scorn and derision after your support of policies that hollowed out their opportunities is just making that group stronger, little by little. |
Certainly a winning message. How ever could Democrats have lost? Such a mystery. |
I just drove across most of the country. Compared to the first term, there are very few Trump signs out there. I think many Trump voters are very reachable if only Democrats had a message that resonated with the working and middle class. But Democrats don't. They have spent the past decade repelling vast swaths of voters. And living in DC, I can see that Democrats still have their heads in the sand. They reflexively blame stupidity, racism, and misogyny for their losses. They assume everyone living between DC and California are illiterate ogres.
But Democrats never address their own policy choices and the strength of their candidates. I suspect Democrats are just going to sit on their asses for 4 years and rely on the unpopularity of Trump to win elections. And that'll work for one election cycle. That's how Biden won. But if Trump isn't on the ballot, Democrats problems are going to get worse, not better. I think the progressive bubble is more destructive than the MAGA bubble. Democrats are the party of wealthy, progressive white elites and black women. That's a tiny little tent. Until Democrats get out of their own bubble and actually talk to middle class families and address the kitchen table issues - and fears - that most Americans deal with, the party will continue to slide into irrelevancy. |
