I’m gonna try it if the current berberine supplement doesn’t work for me.
5’6, 150. I’ll have to hide it from my husband. He would never understand. |
Op stop drinking alcohol for a month. Completely. Zip. Zilch. Nada.
There. Pay me whatever you would pay for the glp 1 meds! |
You have an eating disorder OP. |
OP, I count at least 3 places here where you acknowledge your own lack of willpower/ follow-through/ whatever you want to call it. I think the bigger question for you is: If you can't "find the time and energy" and "prioritize" your health, you are not going to have success. You, like many other people, will find it simpler to take medication as a magic bullet and will keep right on living life like you always have. I fear for these people when, in 10 years, it comes out how dangerous these drugs really are. |
can we get this pro-Ana garbage deleted? |
Just a thought, toning/weights will probably achieve what you want without weight loss. But also, you will want those extra pounds to round out your face. Thin looks fine up to a certain age. |
OP lacks discipline. Shocking. Turns out it takes discipline to look good after the age of 35. It’s different than motivation.
And ultimately looking good shouldn’t even be the goal anyways. But OP isn’t sophisticated enough to even realize that. |
Please stop giving this troll any attention. |
Stop drinking alcohol, start weight training. You are on your way to osteoporosis. |
OP here. I do, and that’s my point. I realize I typed my challenge too quickly : Option A: for the coming month I focus and do everything right and I get some satisfying results (for me). I will have proven to myself that someone like me doesn’t need GLP 1 Option B : I fail at eating and exercising right and I don’t get results. It is a motivation issue, not a metabolic issue. I don’t need GLP 1 because anyway even if I get it for a few months I will end up in same spot when I stop as I won’t take it forever. (Again, for someone like me who has only some vanity pounds to lose and that some of you already consider too thin. I have zero judgement on anyone using GLP1 and who got the help they needed). Option C: the option that intellectually I believe to be the most unlikely but I am testing now (because again, peri-menopause, changes etc..). I do everything right for a month and I get zero results. So I either need to accept my new body, or eat even less/exercise more than I use to, or try GLP 1 to see a change. I don’t know what my decision will be but that’s what I am testing. This is what the 2 other threads on this page are about (the one apologizing for not believing peri-menopausal women, and I will recognize right here that my 44 yo problems are not 50yo problems; and the one about GLP 1 for 10-15 pounds) |
Please can you go away ? You don’t need to read this |
NP the use of this med to lose weight for aesthetics has driven the costs wild and insurance companies have blanket policies of not covering them for weight loss. My insurance won’t either - I’m more than 50lbs overweight through a slow gain during perimenopause and forgetting about myself through later motherhood. It’s on me, literally. Losing it the old fashioned way through movement and diet. |
DP. I, too, am tired of the disordered posters who have taken over. |
OP here I will say one last thing before I do my best to not respond to the troll and Anorexic posts. I find damaging and surprising that so many of you refuse to understand that your own body and your own understanding of what a specific weight looks like is not the absolute perfect norm. I trust people who say at the same height and at same weight- Let’s say 5’5” and 130 pounds which seems to be a point that triggers a lot of debates both ways on this site - that they either feel perfect, or too thin or want to lose 10 pounds. Bodies are different and people carry their weight differently. Not everyone has body image distortion if they don’t fit your norm. I am not white, when I say my bone structure is very thin, I mean it is out of your norm thin. I need custom Rings or bracelets as regular size are too big (I could gain 30 pounds that wouldn’t change). If you want a metric you can understand: my body fat percentage is 34%. I am absolutely not a stick and bone person. |
Option D: you accept you have an eating disorder and get therapy. |
