I think it should be at least 500 to make it interesting. Maybe he should get one of those $200 million grants from the National Democracy Endowment to further expand the registered voters which is a good thing for a democracy. |
That "lottery" was just a Musk fraud, like all the rest. |
I certainly hope it's illegal!!! |
Great idea -let's save democracy! |
That's why I asked about laws. If something is a petition to be presented, say, to a state SOS office in connection with an election, then clearly illegal. But if it is just a petition for PR purposes, maybe not. OTOH, paying the signers on the basis of being registered voters still ties it to the electoral system even if it is all PR. Obviously Musk knows nothing about legal process or rules or whatever. If Tesla was a competitor, he'd be showing up with the flamethrowers. |
This. I just learned today that POTUS cannot pardon someone for violating state law |
There are, I’m not sure why no one is prosecuting this. |
FAFO

Musk will probably have a cash prize petition to make cash prize petitions legal. |
Like all things musk. Empty promise and no money given to those poorer than him.
https://www.nytimes.com/2025/03/28/us/politics/elon-musk-paying-voters-wisconsin.html Elon Musk Backtracks on a Legally Questionable Plan to Pay Voters Experts had said that his pledge to hand out two $1 million checks to people who had already voted in the Wisconsin Supreme Court race seemed to run afoul of state law. |
So he is buying elections???? |
He did it in the 2024 cycle without repurcussion, so why not? |
It does. A state rep has asked the WI AG to investigate. |
That’s embarrassing They cheap Why not Walmart gift cards Musk went way down in his offers !! |
+1. He offered voters in Pennsylvania millions-but like in Wisconsin I don’t think he actually paid them. He’s cheap and only after taking himself. |
