I am just gal from Michigan but I am so proud of my mid west brothers! (I live in dc but you can’t take the midwest farmer-character out of the girl).

Musk is the smartest thing Trump did (although probably accidentally.). Musk is drawing all the hate for the federal govt cuts that Trump would have never had the guts to do on his own, but this is all being guided by the Republican ideologues at Project 2025. Trump and Musk are just the useful (and wealthy) idiots.
