It does. A state rep has asked the WI AG to investigate.

Musk Says ‘Destiny of Humanity’ Rests on Wisconsin Judicial Race

https://www.nytimes.com/2025/03/30/us/elon-musk-wisconsin-supreme-court.html

“What’s happening on Tuesday is a vote for which party controls the U.S. House of Representatives,” Elon Musk told a crowd in Green Bay. “That is why it is so significant.”

Elon Musk framed Tuesday’s election for Wisconsin’s state Supreme Court in nothing less than apocalyptic terms, telling a crowd on Sunday night in Green Bay that the vote could ultimately swing control of Congress — meaning it could effectively “affect the entire destiny of humanity.”

Mr. Musk revels in provocative, inflammatory rhetoric. But his remarks — and the visit itself, 36 hours before polls open for Election Day — reflected his extraordinary push to bolster Judge Brad Schimel, the conservative candidate for the State Supreme Court. The election, he said, is not “some kind of judicial thing that is not that important.”

“What’s happening on Tuesday is a vote for which party controls the U.S. House of Representatives. That is why it is so significant,” Mr. Musk said, referring to the key role that judges could play in congressional redistricting. “And whichever party controls the House to a significant degree controls the country, which then steers the course of Western civilization. I feel like this is one of those things that may not seem that it’s going to affect the entire destiny of humanity, but I think it will.”

The billionaire Mr. Musk, a close adviser to President Trump, dispensed two giant $1 million checks onstage to Wisconsin voters, following through with a well-worn gimmick despite an unsuccessful, last-minute lawsuit from Democrats that tried to put a stop to it.

One can only hope that seeing Elon Musk and his ketamine fuel creepiness up close will serve to turn off many Wisconsin voters. No one ever said that man had charisma.

Tech billionaire Elon Musk on Sunday complained about fellow billionaire George Soros supposedly sending “operatives” to an event in Wisconsin where Musk was paying people to help sway this week’s state Supreme Court election.

Musk handed out two $1 million checks to voters in support of conservative candidate Brad Schimel in a race that will determine the ideological balance of the state’s highest court.

When your agenda is so unpopular, you have to pay people a $1 million to get people to vote for your candidate.

I’d take the $100 and write in my dog’s name.

What is Wisconsin state law regarding this? Is this acceptable or a criminal offense?

It is rather suspect that the winner of 1 million has the same name as, and an uncanny resemblance to, th ePresident of the the Wisconsin College Republicans. What are the odds?

It's not a real giveaway, he rigs the "winner" so he's not accused of running an illegal lottery.

He admitted as such in a statement to the federal courts when he tried the same gimmick in Pennsylvania during the election: https://www.reuters.com/legal/elon-musk-says-1-million-election-giveaway-wasnt-an-illegal-lottery-2025-01-26/

OMG, if you look up "tool" in a slang dictionary, you'll see this kid's picture. Blech.

Ekaterina Diestler, the other of the "winners" of Elon Musk's $1 million handout in Wisconsin, works for a company founded and headed by Republican mega donors. Bruce Bell, the founder of Belmark, has donated thousands to Brad Schimel's campaign & other GOP causes.

This quote from State Rep Robyn Vining perfectly sums up how GOP rigs elections in Wisconsin

“They gerrymander to rig system & when they can’t gerrymander, they try to take away people’s votes & when they can’t rig votes, the richest man in the world comes in & decides he wants to buy it.”
