GPL-1 for a little bit of weight loss (10-15 pounds)

That is a diet change, not I need a weight loss injection with major side effects. You could lose 10-15 pounds on a low carb or low glycemic diet in a few weeks. Why would you even consider it? People are nuts.

Do you think people aren’t trying that first? I’ve been trying for 6-7 years now. Hormones in your late 40s make it tough.

I started at 2.5, never dosed up and now am on 1 mg a week. But I have stockpiled compound. The Lilly version is a single use vial, not sure how that would work since 2.5 mg is technically the maintenance dose.

How were your side effects

I didn't have any. I had more to lose, a total of 40. I felt fine on it and just took it low and slow. Took me 12 months and I am good on the 1 mg now. I vary time between my shots, usually 10-14 days. I just feel so much better on it overall.

I'm three weeks in and have lost an average of 2 pounds a week. My side effects have been some acid reflux and some constipation. I haven't been hungry, so hitting fiber and water targets is harder. Overall, I feel great. The side effects are manageable, and I'm realizing how loud the food noise in my head has been since I was a pre-teen. I feel sad that I have wasted so much time thinking about food, feeling guilty for eating, focused on working off the bad choices, and just feeling awful about myself. I've been between a size 2 and size 10 in my adult body, and this has been constant.

Totally- this! This can be done in 2-3 months with some dieting and exercise. Why would you ever mess with big pharma? So many ppl are broken on the inside.

I agree with you that people are nuts. But I'd say just leave the 10 lbs. Going low carb is highly effective, yes. But also every. single. person. I know whose done low carb dieting gains it all back, and then some.

They gain it back because they relax their eating and start eating more calories, more carbs again.

It’s okay to wear a medium or size 6-8. Truly.

Not all of us. And the word is vain, not crazy. Well okay, it’s vain AND crazy.

It is okay, but depending on their body composition, lower body fat could potentially benefit them. I'm 5'4", and at a size 8, there is more stress on my joints, and I'm not at my healthiest.

Has anyone split their doses if side effects are bad? Like 1.25 on two different days?

+1. I feel really bloated and unhealthy at a size 8. That's where I started on a GLP-1; now I'm back down to size 4 and feel much lighter, more energetic and happier.
