I'll have to look into food banks. Most of the ones I have donated to in the past only take nonperishable goods.

But the bag came from a friend who had been given about 7 bags.

Food banks and their recipients do accept fresh produce and it’s very much appreciated!

I disagree, a 50 pound bag of carrots is like what someone buys for a horse, not for human consumption! The largest bag you can buy at Costco is 5 pounds. I can’t imagine receiving 50 pounds of carrots and trying to figure out what I can cook with them and instead of not donating them to people in need.

slice, cook, freeze as sides, reheat in little butter
