GW Bush and Doug Ford. We've reached a point where the cokeheads are the sanest "Conservatives".

That was Rob Ford (former mayor of Toronto), Doug's brother who died a few years ago.

Doug was always pretty normal.

Doug is NOT normal, and he too is a cokehead.

Trump's shenanigans are the best thing that could have happened to the federal Liberal party. A month ago, PP would have walked away with a huge majority just because he's not Trudeau. Now Canadians are wary of anyone who appears to be Trump Lite, or incapable of standing up to him.

So the 15,000 people don’t get high speed access. I guess he showed them….

Ford is not running in the next election.

Yes, he is running in the next provincial election, which is happening soon.

According to Trump, the pain will be worth it in the end.

Too bad a bunch of voters can’t afford the pain and a bunch of billionaires don’t want the drama. But Insuspect they are adjusting their portfolios as they know he’s a loon.

Trump has nothing to do with it. A Canadian Politician is now denying remote Canadians access to high speed internet. He’s only hurting the people he is supposed to represent.

There’s a Canadian satellite service provider who also bid for the contract. Starlink won the competitive bid, but now they are all “Buy Canadian” and they will give it to the domestic company.

Canada First and all that.

I wonder if they provide service in northern US states. I had considered Starlink for a remote property before Musk went nuts…

Worth it to not sell your country to Adolf Musk. US is so spineless to these billionaire men.

Losing $100mn is peanuts-the US Department of Commerce just issued new rules that favor Starlink over Fiber Optic Cable, with $42 billion in spending to come.

Federal Grant Program Opens Door to Elon Musk’s Starlink
Under new rules from President Trump’s Commerce Department, a $42 billion high-speed internet effort will no longer favor fiber-optic cable.

Anonymous wrote:"Ontario's Conservative Leader Doug Ford is "ripping up" Ontario's $100 million contract with Elon Musk's Starlink in the wake of U.S. tariffs on virtually all Canadian goods, he said in a statement Monday.

The contract, signed in November, was meant to provide high-speed internet access through Starlink's satellite service to 15,000 eligible homes and businesses in rural, remote and northern communities by June of this year.

Ford said Ontario will ban American companies from provincial contracts until U.S. tariffs are removed.

"Ontario won't do business with people hellbent on destroying our economy," he said in the statement."

Good I hope it was a slow and steady Nancy Pelosi kind of "rip up"

Anyone doing business with Musk or Trump is a fool who will get burned in the long run.
