Then, why did the School Board offer collective bargaining?

I was a teacher. The only people who benefit are the leaders of the union. Just watch. Their pay will increase dramatically now--not the teachers' pay necessarily, but the union leaders.
Also, if this fight is what it is claimed to be, it will be difficult to get rid of the perpetrator(s).

There is not a current functioning teacher’s union. Some teachers were members of FCFT or FEA but those were not unions in the (usually negative) sense y’all traditionally mean. The new, actual union is still being fashioned and has zero members.

I worked for a system where there was no "union." But, the contract protected sorry teachers. I saw this in action. Teacher shifted from school to school to avoid firing. My principal finally pulled the plug. The paperwork and "guidance" given was incredible. He wasn't the best principal in the world, but he did due diligence on this. It was extremely time consuming and took attention away from other issues. But, it was necessary. A year lost for her students whose parents didn't raise cain and get their kids out. Many did.

They did "collective bargaining." It is a teacher's union and this is only the beginning. It is not a good thing.

Soon they will have "building reps" who will spend more time on organizing than teaching.

Yes I am, and I am very involved with FEA. Less than half of FCPS teachers belong to a union.

They probably had a productive Restorative Justice circle and that's why the teacher was allowed back! Maybe the admin also gave him a snack and had him do a think sheet.

A union in favor of that type of massive disruption is clearly not looking out for FCPS kids or teachers. I don’t support FCFT as a result.

The unions are not in favor of helping children. And, just wait until their teachers find out that they are going to be transferred because students are being sent to other schools. They are not thinking about the fact that this will also affect them.

And, that was a slick move by FCFT to speak in favor of something the SB wants when they are in the process of negotiating a contract.

Did your child see the fight from the beginning? And before we start in true DCum style....I;m not excusing anything just asking if we have the whole story.

What could possibly be an acceptable catalyst for intentionally knocking down a disabled person?

Person's disability emotional rather than physical, and insults other person with a Your mama is so fat/ugly ... remark.
