So you hire illegals? Do you also post "they should go after the employers?" |
I disagree that Americans don’t want those jobs. Dh comes from a rural town that had a big manufacturing plant that was shipped to Mexico. They were good jobs and most people working there liked it. I think unions were a bit crazy and drove the plant out of town, not just the wage difference between Mexicans and Americans. In his town bachelors degrees aren’t common. Those who have them are nurses, teachers or accountants. So there aren’t too many jobs open to people without degrees, but are still willing to be trained. |
Honestly- good. We’ve always cleaned our own home and mowed our grass. I think too many people don’t and don’t show their kids how to either. It’s raising lazy kids who don’t know how to work. |
I doubt moco will return to prosperity but the cost savings to school will be immense. We spend a lot of money on both esol and also catching kids up who are behind. |
This is it, exactly. |

Obama did a pretty good job.
I knew the family of the girl who was on the news when Mrs. Obama visited her school and she told her “your husband deported my dad.” |
This is a really dehumanizing way to talk about migrants. |
They won’t. Erlich said so in a press release. Mink also tweeted that they won’t cooperate. |
How’s that dehumanizing? I think it’s reality, but I don’t think it’s going to happen. |
| It's not going to happen. |
This. I am surprised people are still dreaming of using illegals for cheap labor after losing the elections. We can have legal immigrants for the labor shortage, the right and legal way. |
| They keep raising taxes in MoCo due to overcrowding. The huge amounts of illegal immigration to the area place tremendous strain on public services, the costs of which are shouldered by citizen taxpayers. Ebony h is enough. Deport them all. Charity and generosity are not unlimited. We are going to break the backs of our citizens who obey the law to pay a whole bunch of benefits going to foreign nationals. Ridiculous. |
You mean this guy you elected who hired "Mexican" workers to build his ugly gold buildings? And apparently didnt pay them or paid less? |
How is it dehumanizing to reduce people to the value of the work they provide for you as low income servants? |
I think that says more about how you view them. The facts are we, because I am Latina, do make up the bulk of the domestic household work. Construction crew, cleaning and childcare is made up of Latinos. I can’t speak about everybody’s immigration status, but we are the ones doing a lot of this type of work. “We” are not servants but like I said, I think it says a lot more about how you view us as we are not dehumanized by honest hard work. |
