She's a vapid loser. She had to pay people to perform at her rallies and appear on shows w/Sharpton. Maybe people should have, it might have worked.

But to the PPs point no other presidential
Candidate has people in trucks with images of another president hog tied in the back or huge flags- trump is different.

But the progressives do wear their own identifying garments (keffiyeh), have their chants and special language, and are as intolerant as the MAGA.

There are two cultist groups in this country now, but because this is DCUM the progressive cultists don’t see their own cult.
Those progressives are HS teenagers and college age who are expressing youth rebellion. They will grow out of it. The Trump cultists are middle age grown adults.

No, but they destroy libraries on college campuses.

LOL. You're book banners. Shut it.

If you had to ask me to pick between the people supporting and engaging in the wholesale destruction of college libraries and the people who think sexually graphic books should not be available to middle schoolers, why yes, I’ll pick the latter group, as would 95% of Americans.

Yes. Because the former is absolutely not a thing.

Oh man, you are so right! All of my leftie wine moms wear keffieh! They are all over Costco!

True, the leftie wine moms are their own cult.

With their keffiyehs all over Costco, yep. Just as many as MAGA hats.

That kaffihya comment was sarcasm. No grown adults are walking around costco in Palestinian scarves. You'd have to live outside Moscow to not know that.

Yet, there are MAGA hats and flags everywhere. No such things on the left. Ergo, you are in a cult.

+ 1

I haven’t seen any Harris supporters attach feminine hygiene products to their heads or have Harris precessions at church acting as if she is their second coming. Or have “Harris” themed weddings (yes I’ve seen more than 1 Trumpy wedding on social media).

It’s truly weird how much they worship this man.

The problem is, I don’t know of ANY former MAGAs. That’s the scary part. Sure, I know of republicans who didn’t vote for him this time. But I am talking about the full-on MAGA folks. The rally goers, insurrectionists, folks with Trump tattoos, etc. The ones who can’t see any fault in anything he does. Nobody seems to leave this cult.

So, if you are out there, please share. What was your mindset? How/why were you able to dismiss everything he has done? What happened to finally change your mind? Any suggestions on how to help our friends/relatives see the light? Any insight would be much appreciated!

To those of you who are about to call me dramatic for calling it a cult…when you are in a cult, you don’t know you are in a cult.

I’m a Harris voter and you are why we lost. You need to leave your own deep cult.

Are there people with Harris flags and tattoos? Are there conspiracy theories around Harris that have spawned violence?

No?

Then it isn't a cult.

The cult is the far left. The progressives are a cult that’s as systematic and deep as the MAGA.

Yes.

We don't have tattoos on our foreheads and flags on our lawns of any democratic politicians.

But you do put signs out in front of your house with your cult chants printed on them.

I have never met an ex-Trump supporter, but I know that the flags and paraphernalia are not for the reason you think they are. They are a reaction to the media. If you solely read newspapers or watched the news you would of course think Trump is the most loathsome person on the face of the earth. So people feel the need to publicly show their support with hats and so on. If he were covered with even a bit more neutrality no one would feel the need to paint signs on their barn. It's also a social thing especially with men in blue areas where one will have a shirt on and get nods of approval from others and then strike up conversations. Men tend to have fewer social connections than women and it makes them feel less alone.

No, it's a cult. They never had that for Bush and Bush got plenty of media bashing.

Oh yeah, cult chants like "equal rights for all" and "science rules." LMAO.

Not sure why people continue to blame 'the media' for painting Trump unfairly. All you have to do is listen to his speeches or answers in interviews or read his social media posts to see how insane/idiotic/loathsome he is. In his own words. Seeing Trump for who he truly is either takes internal work that is hard for many, especially men, or they just agree with him and his nastiness, which is worse.

If you have questions for republicans, just ask us. No I don’t have a Trump flag or sign although I do remember thinking the Obama songs back in the day were cultish too. I saw Kamala face signs in my neighborhood. Also weird.

MAGA ≠ Republicans

This sounds a lot like sports team loyalty. Is this all just an extension of my team vs your team sports competition?

Also, Id think the positive reinforcement is how cults work. So that doesn't make it not a cult.
