Are MS boys really very unattractive?

Maybe use this as an opportunity to teach kindness to your daughter instead of judging people.

The boys will finish puberty and get cuter. But those girls will still be mean.

This is the saddest thing I’ve read on DCUM in a while. What monster would take the time to start a thread like this?

Yes boys at that age are largely unformed and lack any sort of polish whatsoever. Many are still waiting on a growth spurt to catch up to the girls.

However, having just been at a school play, what struck me is how much bigger girls are now. The boys were mostly, but not all, whip thin and the girls were heavy.

Yup that’s what she said only about 5 of them

Haha I think the opposite. I have teen boys and the girls don’t look that attractive. There are a handful of very pretty girls and the rest of the girls look average/below average. My boys have smart, athletic, rich good looking friends. I always think how lucky the girls who land them one day will be. The very pretty girls know it and my boys say they have awful personalities.

I just assume the awkward not very pretty girls will blossom, learn how to use make up, etc and have a glow up.

I remember kids having terrible teeth, crowded, crooked, etc. now kids start their orthodontics in first grade (mine did. She’s starting her 3rd round in 6th)

Plus glasses - coke bottles. Now contact lenses

Frizzy hair - now all the hair products imaginable

Pimples - over the counter stuff is way better than noxema or oxyclean

Given all that, my 6th grader is a nerdy bookworm who couldn’t care less how she looks.

They also have so many YouTube and TikTok tutorials on hair and makeup now.

They are to me because I’m an adult. If you find them attractive you are disgusting yourself.

I don't know OP. Young female teachers seem to like them well enough.

This thread is really messed up. You're talking about the attractiveness of children? Yeesh.

Middle school is such an awkward time and boys hit puberty a little after girls. Also girls have more options for things like hair and makeup to make them look better.

They aren’t fully formed yet. It’s like asking butterflies if caterpillars are unattractive.

To make things worse, as she tells it, many girls are attractive. She told me that there are about 4-5 boys in MS who are attractive and every single girl is pursuing them and they are all very cocky. She told me she liked some of them but "they are not catfight worthy". Does this ring a bell? It sounds like hell, honestly.

How does this conversation even come about? You, the mom, just casually mentioned, man, that boy is ugly?

And it "sounds like hell" to you that there is attractiveness inequality in middle school of all places? What??

Please tell me this isn't real life.
