Democratic pipeline of talent is sad

The DNC is letting the mental patients run the asylum, when will the big brains behind the scene finally put their foot down and tell them to shut up and piss off? Look ahead too 2026 and 2028, the Dems have an abysmal pipeline of up and coming talent to draw from. Who could they possibly run for President? AOC? Have fun with a other loss. Whitmer? Give me a break, she ruined her career with that weirdo Doritos gaffe. Bashear? He is basically a nobody right now. Just a truly awful pool of talent. I don't think the Dems have a chance of winning the presidency at this rate until 2040 or beyond. The country has thoroughly rejected their progressive platform. Running a campaign from the perspective of a big blue city coastal elitist is a perfect recipe for more losses.

The only way they win is if GOP self immolates and then country explodes. But that destiny is not controlled by the Dems. The Dems need to kick out and stop supporting every single Boomer and Silent Gen pol they have in their ranks, for starters.

And if Trumps term goes just ok, and Vance runs in 2028, its game over for the Dems. Vance is the best part of Trump and the best part of Republicans combined , so he will get MAGA and GOP voters.

Vance is a white guy, and Dems don't like those. If Trump actually massively deports illegal aliens, Vance will have a strong outlook in 2028.

The Democrats are going to have to choose their next candidate very carefully.

There are no candidates.
Bernie, RFKjr, Tulsi, Elon, etc. All gone and they took their supporters with them. Andrew Yang formed a third party. People like Rogan (and his millions of listeners) got their legalization of pot so the democrats don't hold sway over them. All that's left are beta men and women in the mold of Hilary, and... the Cheneys????.

Can't even "exploit then ignore" previously single issue voters anymore like BLM blacks, border Hispanics, and they lost a lot of Asians because of DEI in academic admissions. Pretty sure the trans issue alienated some of the abortion folks who have young daughters. Plus how can you rationally explain a coalition with single issue Zionists and pro-Palestinians in the same party while a genocide is going on?

America has become a binary country on issues because of the divisiveness of dems since Clinton hacks like Carville, so the political "center" doesn't exist anymore. May need to nominate and promote a candidate that probably has to move to the right of present-day center (which was where Democrats were a couple decades ago) and coopt some of the core issues of Republicans so that the Republicans move further to the extreme right. If you notice, the Donald was a genius because he was able to pull this off: voters saw Republicans as the anti-war party, the union party, and, ironically, the party for normal feminists. No more asking voters to suspend their disbelief with crazy policies and social engineering while not rewarding them.

Moderate Democrats become Republicans. This is a building movement. It’s been happening for a decade or so but it’s really off to the races now.

The progressives are a small minority, no matter what line you've been fed. Kamala was not a progressive.

It is kind of sad, but for all the big tent talk, it’s more like a cramped mausoleum—packed with stale ideas and gargoyles at the front that scare off anyone who doesn’t fit the mold, or who is remotely authentic. That’s my take.

For example, I was recently told by someone that I needed to realize that my anger about what is going on with America was a privilege, because I’m a white female, and that I should not express it if others can’t express it freely because they lack my privilege. I mean. wtf can anyone do with this nonsense?

It is imperative that well meaning people, politely, firmly and succinctly, tell those types of people to stop their nonsense.

Thisq person was a WOC senior to me; I let it go because I don’t want to be accused of being a shitty ally. She very pointedly told me about how her hand would be slapped for speaking as freely as I did, and not to do it again. But it does point to some major flaws with the idea of what allyship is within the party.

It will swing right back. Moderate Democrats used to be Moderate Republicans. The center has been squeezed by the loud obnoxious extremists of each party.

If Vance learns to talk to Hispanics, he has a good chance.

No, it won’t. Swing back to what?

Look at her actual record. She’s further left than Bernie.

Lindy is promoting Fox. It’s over for Dems.

Vance is invisible. He's been completely sidelined by Trump. And the odds of Trump's term going "ok" are abysmal. He's not in this to make the country better. He's in this to enrich himself and his friends, take vengeance against his perceived enemies, and blow it all up. It'll be pocketbook issues again in 2028, and the Republicans will be forced to play serious defense.

Musk will go away soon. Vance will be there till the end, and he has Peter Thiel's support. Listen to Thiel's latest podcast where he talks about Ivy League education and how the Dem candidates of late are outright dumb - thats the exact word he used.

AOC is not smart enough.

This is what GarbageOldParty faced. RIP GOP. They laughed at him when he ran and quickly realized they need to cling to him to advance politically. Those that didn't didn't make it (e.g. Cheny). Now magas are taking their seats. Populist prevailed.

If the Dems nominate a subpar candidate like Biden again, yes, Vance could have a chance. Otherwise, he stands no chance against a legitimate Dem candidate.
