Why are there virtually NO moderate Democrats who can take the reins over the party and reject the progressives they are ruining the entire Dems and preventing them from winning elections? The DNC is letting the mental patients run the asylum, when will the big brains behind the scene finally put their foot down and tell them to shut up and piss off? Look ahead too 2026 and 2028, the Dems have an abysmal pipeline of up and coming talent to draw from. Who could they possibly run for President? AOC? Have fun with a other loss. Whitmer? Give me a break, she ruined her career with that weirdo Doritos gaffe. Bashear? He is basically a nobody right now. Just a truly awful pool of talent. I don't think the Dems have a chance of winning the presidency at this rate until 2040 or beyond. The country has thoroughly rejected their progressive platform. Running a campaign from the perspective of a big blue city coastal elitist is a perfect recipe for more losses.
The only way they win is if GOP self immolates and then country explodes. But that destiny is not controlled by the Dems. The Dems need to kick out and stop supporting every single Boomer and Silent Gen pol they have in their ranks, for starters. |

And if Trumps term goes just ok, and Vance runs in 2028, its game over for the Dems. Vance is the best part of Trump and the best part of Republicans combined , so he will get MAGA and GOP voters. |
PP again. He is very smart, and people like AOC do not stand a chance against him. Dems will need another Ivy League guy like Obama to counter Vance. |
For Democrats, the problem with Trump is he makes any other GOP candidate look normal by comparison.
The Democrats are going to have to choose their next candidate very carefully. |
The winning candidates will come from the outside. The “pipeline” is an echo chamber that is getting smaller and smaller. It is kind of sad, but for all the big tent talk, it’s more like a cramped mausoleum—packed with stale ideas and gargoyles at the front that scare off anyone who doesn’t fit the mold, or who is remotely authentic. That’s my take.
For example, I was recently told by someone that I needed to realize that my anger about what is going on with America was a privilege, because I’m a white female, and that I should not express it if others can’t express it freely because they lack my privilege. I mean. wtf can anyone do with this nonsense? |
We were told this by MAGA voters on here as well. |
Because they are not the power brokers, it’s the billionaires with the big pockets. Look up the Pritzkers and Martine Rothblatt. https://www.tabletmag.com/sections/news/articles/billionaire-family-pushing-synthetic-sex-identities-ssi-pritzkers |
Vance is invisible. He's been completely sidelined by Trump. And the odds of Trump's term going "ok" are abysmal. He's not in this to make the country better. He's in this to enrich himself and his friends, take vengeance against his perceived enemies, and blow it all up. It'll be pocketbook issues again in 2028, and the Republicans will be forced to play serious defense. |
AOC could do it if she were a man. She has the right ideas but she will never be taken seriously by enough people. |
The Democrat pipeline may be sad but it's nowhere near as bad as Matt Gaetz - Dr. Oz and so on.
There are a lot of good Republicans but since the MAGA movement has taken over, the talent pool of Republicans acceptable to thin-skinned Trump and those actually willing to work for Trump has become extremely shallow. |
If white women and Latino men were the sliders in this election, I’m not surprised. Party has completely alienated them. I think Ruben and Gretchen would be a great ticket. |
There are numerous state governors that are qualified and popular enough to deserve a chance to seek the 2028 Dem nomination. They just need support approved by party "leaders", the DNC, and their wealthy donors before they can make a serious run. The old saying "party picks the nominee and the people pick the POTUS" used to be half true. Now it is 99% true. Eff the GOP and Dem parties. They need to be abandoned of all support but people are too stupid to understand that they are private entities and they aren't too big to fail. |
It is imperative that well meaning people, politely, firmly and succinctly, tell those types of people to stop their nonsense. |
