There is no way that this goes forward for MD. Trump would just keep the status quo if that was all he could do. But I think this goes to Springfield now. For the persont hat says this was approved and can't be stopped -- it may have been approved but yes it can be stopped. Nothing like this is going to blue MD.

DJT is never visiting the FBI HQ. I don't think he ever went when it was on Penn Ave. They come to him.

I know this isn't something that you cared about but the FBI and DOJ talk to each other, in person, a lot. Moving away from downtown will inconvenience more than just FBI agents.

I don’t have a subscription so I can’t read the Bizjojrnals article on the topic, but I suppose Trump just wants the FBI to stay at the same site, and maybe clad a renovated Hoover building with Corinthian columns and a grand portico, marble relief sculpture, and ornamental fountains. His government mandate his first term was for a Classical Architecture for all civic buildings nationwide. No more modernist architecture.
