Liam was problematic for other reasons. Drug abuse, for one. He also caused a ton of strife in the group and on that note only "rekindled" with fellow bandmate Niall (who is a legit sweetheart) a few weeks ago. His ex girlfriend just wrote a fictional book that took accounts from real things in their relationship like how he pressured her to get an abortion with the threat of leaving her... then left her alone bleeding and she ended up hemmorhaging and going to the hospital without him. He and his friends would not stop calling her so she recently filed for a cease and desist.

My guess is that he saw on his laptop what Maya said about him making her get an abortion at home and then he left her there alone. Whether or not that is true that reveals terrible character and nobody would want to be shown in that light. Add alcohol to that, and ...

Ugh, and she's been saying she has gotten harassed by his fans - now that he'd died I worry her harassment will only increase.

Telemundo reporting that 911 calls came earlier reporting an aggressive man under the influence (Liam) before he fell.

She filed the cease and desist over a week ago- which he is aware of. That required evidence of harassment.

Eh, it's hardly abnormal for normal people to look back on their college years as 'the best years of their life' (their prime, whatever). Spare me the woe is me my life is so harsh after having the time of my life in my teens and 20s and having millions of dollars in the bank at age 31. Go get a university degree and become a music or TV exec. He could do anything.

So bizarre how you claim to think you know how Niall will react. Who knows if he would feel guilt at all he has absolutely no reason to. Further, Liam was acting quite strange at that concert, including acting in attention seeking wYs. Well, documented on social media. Who knows their “reunion” went.

I know therapy isn't as prevalent in the UK as it is in the US but I hope Niall (and the rest of the guys if they feel the need) reach out for professional help to navigate the feelings that come up in the next few months.

Agree with above PP. Nothing at all to be embarrassed about. I don't believe in being embarrassed about liking what you like - One Direction, peanut butter and jelly, Fraggle Rock, avocado toast, Fifty Shades of Grey, etc. Sometimes if something becomes popular, people are ashamed to admit liking it. But there's a reason it becomes popular!
