What exactly are they “striving” to be? George is the epitome of an A-list Hollywood star with clout. The two of them are reasonably intelligent and thoughtful (go watch him sometime on a long-form non-movie press junket interview) and I’m pretty sure that when anyone gets a call saying “George Clooney” is calling they pick up and answer. The power dynamic is in their favor. Clooney’s op-ed was seen as one of the determining factors in the push to remove Biden.

I think she looks great and always has. I don't think a few highlights suddenly mean she "gone Hollywood." She has always loved fashion even before she got with George though obviously she has been able to upgrade her clothes and beauty since marrying him. But she was a glamourous London barrister with a high profile before him. It's not like she was wearing Ann Taylor and the pearls her parents gave her for graduation. She was probably regularly the most glamorous person in the room even before marrying a movie star.
