APS Positive COVID

The fact is that those who get covid are all going to get it at some point this fall/winter/spring anyway. You are just kicking the can.

Everyone is going to get it continually. You can try not to get it if you are worried by wearing an n95. I do see some people doing this and eating outdoors.

No one is staying home for the duration of their contagious period. That’s not happening. We all are exposed all the time. It’s like the flu now. You are contagious before you have symptoms and likely a bit contagious after they end. We’re not changing the rules for that.

And the positive person goes to school and passes Covid along to others. Some of those people get sick and stay home. And then we all get a lecture on attendance and absenteeism and APS has zero self awareness (zero!) that they are causing it.

It’s endemic. Like the flu. We’re not going back to quarantines and masks. It’s not longer novel, we have vaccines, and it gets treated like every other virus.

this doesn't mean we can't try not to spread illness. you know, to protect those who are more vulnerable and to keep everyone health and in school. i don't get your pro illness agenda.

He has no symptoms, we only tested because a grandparent he'd visited recently was hospitalized with Covid. I've tested daily and am still negative, so I'm not too worried about him spreading Covid in school.

What's wrong with wearing a mask (more so if you're tested positive)? So what if you get people asking questions? Any sane person would appreciate your consideration for others and not judge you negatively.

Still talking about this tired topic...some of y'all need to get a f'ing life.

We have 3 kids. It can take several
Weeks for a virus to make its way through our household. If we quarantined and masked for every virus, my kids would be chronically absent and masked when they were there. 24 hours fever free worked for before the pandemic and it works for us now.

Look I’m immune compromised and know I have to take my health into my own hands. Can you imagine if we tested for every cold or virus out there and stayed home until we tested negative? That’s pure insanity. Covid is just one of thousands of viruses.

So you keep yourself and your kids home until all symptoms of every cold or virus are gone – like a lingering runny nose or lingering cough?

Just cuz you're tired of it doesn't mean it went away. Some of us are trying to live our lives, and it's much easier to do that if you are not actively trying to spread illness.

No but I would mask under those circumstances, unlike you apparently. And we test when we have these symptoms so we know what we are dealing with. Unlike you apparently.

I highly doubt you're actually immune compromised.

If your kid gets measles or norovirus or mopox or whatever just send em to school. Don't say anything might make other kids uncomfortable then as opposed to later.

Some people should not have children.
