According to the APS website a person who tests positive but doesn’t have symptoms can go to school without masking. A person who tests positive but has improving symptoms can go to school without masking. Make it make sense. |
Just like any other cold. |
Nice, infect people because you don’t care about others. Good plan. |
There is no consequence to going to school with Covid just like there is no actual consequence for going to school with fever or diarrhea or for telling your teacher to F off |
My HS student tested positive last week and went to school and practice. Wouldn't wear a mask because he felt like he'd get a lot of questions and make everyone uncomfortable. (I know. But I literally can't force it.)
He has no symptoms, we only tested because a grandparent he'd visited recently was hospitalized with Covid. I've tested daily and am still negative, so I'm not too worried about him spreading Covid in school. |
Truth. Sad world we live in. |
This is the same policy for literally any other illness.
24 hours fever/vomit/diarrhea free basically. It was like this before COVID and people somehow continued to go on with life. Also many viruses are contagious before symptoms appear and the hypothetical COVID positive kid without symptoms is likely not even testing. We aren’t going back to masking kids just in case they become sick or doing surveillance testing. If you’re worried, you are free to use a quality N95. |
wtf.
I'm sad for mankind. |
There are a lot of reasons to be sad for mankind these days. Very depressing state of affairs. |
It really doesn’t matter. The vast majority aren’t testing anymore. Especially for someone who has no symptoms. |
Why bother testing in the first place? Kid had no symptoms and testing positive didn’t change anything. Why bother? FTR we don’t test at all so I’m not flaming you just curious why you bothered? |
Long covid eventually if they get it 40 times, lol. Then all the complaining about cardiovascular or pulmonary problems. Boo hoo hoo. |
And the positive person goes to school and passes Covid along to others. Some of those people get sick and stay home. And then we all get a lecture on attendance and absenteeism and APS has zero self awareness (zero!) that they are causing it. |
You're not too worried about infecting others. Lovely. You suck. |
Sure, and you're probably also triggered by other people wearing masks. Can't win. |
