Almost no one reclines on a daytime domestic flight but some of you probably think they do just from how much the seat moves when they sit in it.

The person standing is probably in considerable pain. Flying can be pretty bad for people with back and joint pain stuff. They’re probably not doing it just to “stretch.” I mean maybe they are, people are weird/aholes. But if I’m doing that, it’s because my back is killing me.

Reclining your seat is not poor etiquette. If you don't want the person in front of you reclining, don't fly? Walking the aisles is also allowed (unless the seatbelt sign is on.) Using the tray table is allowed, and so on.

everyone uses the tray table. That one is not an issue for anyone.

I had someone recline yesterday (before we had even left the ground!) and I made sure to grab the seat as I got up… 😈

I choose to lift myself out of the seat the way I want. Deal with it.

I recline if I am tired. On my last cross county flight it seemed most people reclined as it was a late evening flight. Those seats are too uncomfortable to be so upright for 5-6 hours.

Ok two ton. Perhaps lay off the chips a bit and it won't be such an effort to lift yourself up.

Why don’t you stop worrying about other people reclining or standing.

Have a drink. You need it.

This, nothing wrong with reclining.

We fly overnight often. Everybody reclines when the lights go off. OP is ridiculous.

Reclining your seat on the plane has been called "one of the most irritating, inconvenient, self-indulgent habits" on a flight. Those extra two inches are often the center of heated debates, especially as airlines squeeze more passengers onto planes.

The survey found that over 77% of people find reclining an airplane seat all the way rude. However, nearly one-third of survey respondents said that even though it's rude, they still fully recline their seats. But the majority of those people said they ask the person behind them first.

so for all you reclining folks is it ok to bash someone on the head and not apologize? For that reason, I do not recline especially on domestic flights.
