Plane etiquette

Why do some people still recline even though 90% of people do not recline? And do you find it annoying when someone just stands in the aisle, crotch/butt at face level for a long time? A woman did this my last flight and it was so uncomfortable.

I'm airsick anyway, and have been since I was a child, so a little more misery to an already miserable experience doesn't move the needle much, to be honest.

Everyone on the plane should do everything they can to make it as easy of a flight for everyone else as possible. It's not hard.

Recline away. If the seat allows it, I have no issue with it.

Meh it's only like an inch. The shitty seats really hurt my back if I don't recline. I know it's only an inch, but it makes a big difference to my back.

I had someone recline so quickly they bashed my head. Don't do that.

Everyone reclines. Why do you say 90% don’t recline???

The seat reclines. I recline if I want to. With awareness. No quick movement. But no I'm not asking your permission and no I'm not going to stop doing it.

I'm reclining. You're free to recline as well.

I recline all the way on overnight flights and recline it slightly on all day time flights. It is way more comfortable to recline it a tiny bit.

Also use your ab muscles to get yourself out of your seat. If you can't lift yourself up without grabbing seat backs you need to reconsider your life choices.

On every flight I'm on, the person in front of me reclines. So I don't know where you're getting your statistic from, but ...

Neither particularly bother me but I don't tend to use the tray table. As for the standing part, I don't think I've ever had anyone stand for a long period of time with one of those body parts facing me. Usually they stand facing forward so it's just their side.

I do admit to grabbing the seat back sometimes. I'm perfectly fit and in good shape, but have a chronic knee issue and sometimes it buckles when I awkwardly get up. I do try to do it gently and not when someone is leaning against it.

I hardly ever see that. I paid attention this past flight and it really was very few people doing it (on a 10+ hour flight).

Definitely not just an inch on all planes!
