That’s racist. Ick. |
It's science. |
| Are you looking at per capita? |
| Their cuisines aren’t as yummy. |
| Poutine makes you lose weight. Scientific fact |
Well, let's not let facts get in the middle of this idiotic debate. |
Not racist. Just facts. DNA. Race is not the answer to all questions. |

Certain demographic groups have higher rates of obesity. Canada has fewer people from these demographic groups. |
You need to read more of the posts ITT that posted updated info from actual US and Canadian govt body sources, idiot. If you're going to whine about facts, then read them. Americans are fatter than our neighbors up north. Sorry that the facts got in the way of what you wanted to hear. |
| Canadian here - Gained 40 pounds almost immediately when I moved to the US. My biggest issue is walking. I’m in LA and you can’t walk here. I spend all day in my car and public transportation is awful. Also, there’s way more fast food restaurants. Of course we have fast food in Canada, but there’s just so many more restaurants. Also, I had no self control, so I got fat. Then I went back to living like a ‘canadian’ and tried to walk everywhere and eat healthier, and I lost the weight easily. |

Y'all have better healthcare access, and tighter restrictions on what counts as food/is allowed to adulterate your food.
The US has become a free-for-all of chemicals and unpronounceable ingredients, many of which haven't been properly studied, and the few that have show increases in stored body fat/resistance to insulin. So while idiots want to make this a race or class issue, it's a food safety and food access issue, and it's gonna get a lot worse before we decide to push back against the corporate greed that created it, if anyone's alive with enough HP to actually do that. If you doubt me, look at the skyrocketing rates of colon cancer and other cancers in people under 40 (and then stfu, because you're probably just trolling anyway). |
Colon cancer has increased in under 50 from 8 per 100,000 to 12 per 100,000. That's a 50% increase of a very small number. Food and diet are driving the increase in obesity worldwide. But race and class are important factors at the individual and societal level. |
