She wouldn’t have to be sneaky. I’m sure her daughter is bright but we know how hard it is to get into Yale. I’m sure Yale was aware of who her parents are and these schools obviously have an interest in admitting these celeb kids.

This. I'm sure Violet had a good application and she went to a HS that is a well known Ivy feeder. But there's no question her application goes in another pile from those if other highly qualified Harvard-Westlake grads. Schools know whose parents are well connected, wealthy, or can capture lots of positive media attention and those apps get flagged for special consideration.

Violet Affleck is definitely smart + the celeb connection pushed her over the edge. Does a lot of debate, top tier all girls school in LA, national merit finalist. got into both harvard and yale.

I wonder if JLo is even involved in her kids school life. With her intense schedule I can’t imagine her sitting down and doing homework with the kids over the years or the grunt work of filling out the Common App and crafting an essay. In fact, I don’t even know if her twins even go to a regular school. It must be hard with all the moving they have done throughout the years

Despite having an Ivy law degree, I am completely incapable of helping my kids on their HS homework, not do they want my help. And I never saw my kid’s common app or essay. I’m just taking issue with that being your definition of involved in your teen’s life.

My bad I thought she went to H-W. I see now she's a Marlborough grad. This honestly makes her Yale admittance likely even more dependent on her parents' fame. While H-W always has Yale admits Marlborough does not. No legacy status. No hook other than high test scores and grades... and being the kid of an A-list actor and director and his very famous and wealthy ex-wife.

Again I'm sure she's a very bright and accomplished young woman but there is no question that "Violet Affleck"'s application package goes in a special category separate from other very bright and accomplished applicants. It gets an extra look and there's a thumb on the scale.
