Carnegie Mellon! Nice to see she is attending a rigorous school. She must be really interested in academics not necessarily brand name or glamorous location, rather than the typical celebrity kid route such as an Ivy League or NYU, UCLA, USC…not that there is anything wrong with those schools.

I think it's a great and surprising choice, though Katie Holmes is from Toledo so there's that OH/PA connection.

It makes a ton of sense assuming she is pursuing the arts. Many famous actor alums (Ted Danson, Ethan Hawke and many others).

I thought this was a thread discussing a college that operates on a cruise ship named Suri. Who cares about celeb kids? They buy their admission into a college of their choice anyways..

Yes though it also admitted Sophia Macy (daughter of Felicity Huffman and William H. Macy) after Huffman pled guilty to "fixing" Sophia's SAT scores in that big scandal. Not a knock on Sophia or Suri (I honestly feel bad for Sophia in that whole thing and I know very little about Suri at all) but CM drama likely has a pretty strong interest in admitting kids from well-connected Hollywood families. Their program is well known for helping alums get agents and auditions especially in the NYC theater scene and sometimes current students will even get roles in a fairly high profile productions in the summer or even film or television work. So it's to the benefit of the entire program to admit kids with these connections.

Of course no idea if Suri is even headed to the drama program though I do remember reading that she participate in drama in high school (there as some news item a while back about her appearing in a program for a play as Suri Noelle (Noelle is Katie's middle name) instead of Suri Cruise. So she may have acting aspirations.

It's interesting how much she consciously has kept her out of the spotlight after Suri was photographed everywhere from about 0-6. Remember Suri's Burn Book? Now Suri is going to college and has bought into her mom's thinking of staying out of the spotlight.

There's a spoof account called Nori's Burn Book on Instagram and North's mom has complained on her show how terribly spoiled and badly behaved her kids are. It's sad she can't see that having them on tv is bad for them, and will be interesting to see if any of the Kardashian/Jenner offspring wind up going to college.

It will be easy to blend in, in Oakland/Pittsburgh. Not a lot of paps hanging out along 5th Avenue. I wish her peace and privacy. Even though I loved Suri's Burn Book.
