Wow. That is high.
I do Botox 3x a year at $500 so 1,500 I have a home microneedling device that cost $200 I also have a home laser for hair removal that cost $400 I don’t think resurfacing lasers are better than consistent retinoids. I get a small amount of fillers to correct a congenital deformity once a year at $1200 I also spend around $1200 on creams and makeup. That’s $4,500 including the devices that I don’t obviously buy every year. Our HHI is $400,000. 12-15k is a huge expense and especially given your HHI. If you’re not a troll, I would highly encourage you to reevaluate your budget. If you go to the Beauty forum you can ask for some lower cost alternatives or ways to cut down the amount. |
This. You're probably getting that obvious Botox look and he doesn't feel like he can criticize that so he criticizes the money instead. I think it's absurd to spend that much at any income. |
You are spending ~5% of your gross income on beauty treatments? That is, frankly, insane. Your husband is right. |
You spend the same, or more, in beauty treatments as you do in 401k contributions? You can't seriously think that is OK. |
I have an anti-aging treatment schedule 4,000 fillers 3,250 Ultherapy 1x 1,500 preventive Botox 2-3x 1,350 Clear and Brilliant 3x 1,200 mini Fraxel 2x 1,025 Picolaser 1x 800 microneedling 2x |
One more thing, i cut, color and highlight my own hair, which i don’t recommend but i just really hate sitting in a salon for 3 hours so have managed to figure this out for myself over the years. |
Good lord - that is nuts! How old are you? Why are you filling your face with so many chemicals?! Do you look that old?
I am 40 with 3 kids. I spend probably $1000 a year on face cream/retinol/night serum. That is it. My skin is clear, with very little wrinkles. HHI is $650,000 and I am pretty sure my DH wouldn't bat an eyelash if I spent more. |
That is a crazy amount to spend on your income. Totally crazy. And I am supportive of doing whatever you want cosmetically. No judgment there at all. |
People. This is a troll. |
What you really need is spiritually in your life to be at ease with yourself and process of aging ... and financial literacy. |
I’m in my early. 30’s |
Probably but we all know women who spend a size able chunk of family income on such frivolous things. You never saw grocery check out ladies with fancy manicures, fake eyelashes and blond highlights? |
You shouldn’t do more than that in your early 30s!!! |
He wanted the high maintenance look but doesn’t want the high maintenance price tag. |
I don't have kids. |
