From a practical perspective, you at least have a chance of getting away with lying about your sex partners. You have to be a sociopath to lie about your age because there's no way to get away with that one long term.

Age is verifiable, number of sex partners is not. Age is public knowledge, number of sex partners is not.

Lying about age seems pretty stupid. I could clear that up with an online search. Lying about sexual partners is more like discretion. Don't ask, don't tell. If it matters to you very much, whether 0 or some perfect number, you are judgmental, controlling. You'll end up ruining any good thing that comes your way.

I never lie about my age because thanks to great genes and a happy life I look much younger. I never talk about my prior partners because it is a small number and not very memorable, sadly!

We have never discussed this. Once when I was drunk I brought it up and he stopped me "I don't want to know." We got together mid 20s so we didn't have THAT much time.
Anecdotally I think men are more likely to lie about age than women, if they are 10+ years older than a woman they are into they might say they are only 5 years older and then come clean later.

I mean if the person has already done this and that sexual act before you it pretty much says it all. What do yall think about certain cultures who do care about the number of partners? That would be almost every non white American probably.
