You should not buy cabbage at all. You don't like it or eat it. Why try to be so "smart" when you dislike cabbage?

When I lived in Russia a very common side dish was braised cabbage that was a very deep orange in color and had a really phenomenal flavor. I’ve never seen similar in America — do you have a recipe along those lines?

NP. The orange comes from ketchup and carrots. This is probably on the lines of what you’re looking for:

NP. One of the great things about cabbage is that it lasts forever in the fridge. Cut off whatever you need for a meal, wrap up the remainder and pop it back in the fridge. Next time you need some, do the same, trimming off any browned areas. It sometimes takes me a month or more to use up a large cabbage and it’s still tasty on the last use.

What exactly is a ‘cabbage lady’? Do you eat a lot of cabbage? Do you only eat cabbage?

I appreciate you, Cabbage Lady. We’ve started using it a lot more since you first started posting. We use it in stir-fries, add to salads, in tacos and soups.

Me too!

I cut cabbage and onion to 1 inch pieces, roast with olive oil salt and pepper until caramelized, then add fresher shredded/grated Parmesan cheese while it is still warm. So good. I could (and sometimes do) eat the whole pan.

Cabbage Lady are you single? Coleslaw Boy would like your number. We could go for a candlelight baked ziti.

Thank you so much for taking the time to post this. I am glad you found ways to incorporate cabbage into your meals. Even my dog eats cabbage! In the evening, his evening meal is sliced cabbage with one scoop of wet dog food.

Thank you as well for taking the time to post! I like cabbage and was surprised when someone posted a thread a long while ago asking me to come and talk about cabbage.

OP here. I am glad you use cabbage; it is very healthy and so cheap. Adds crunch to many dishes.
I even make cabbage Bolognese! LOL!

I like to eat cabbage raw, and am currently eating my way through a head of cabbage right now. It is convenient to keep on my night table. I originally got it for mastitis, but found myself eating it out of my bra.

At what point is it dangerous to eat too much cabbage? I am hoping to lose weight postpartum
