Again, Costco |
I make the meatballs in this recipe in large quantities. But I bake them at 400 for 15 minutes. Flip them over half way. I then put in the sauce.

Yes. |
Oh please. Grape jelly and chili sauce in the crockpot for the win! |
😏 |
We do a big batch of the grape jelly/chili sauce meatballs for a lot of parties. We use Costco meatballs, there are never any leftover. |
My from Italy grannie is rolling in her grave. Italian meatballs go with red sauce. And that's the end of the discussion, missy. |
I’ve never been to a party with meatballs! Like just out there on their own? |
Yes, we love their Italian meatballs in the green bag I think. |
I've seen these but always afraid to give them a try -- I will now! For those who have prepared these - can you get them a bit browned - or do you just plop them into sauce or micro to heat & eat? |
I’m this person and I had to google. This sounds like a quintessentially American mid-century dish. It’s got cans! It’s got sugar! It’s kind of gross looking! I definitely want to try it. https://quaintcooking.com/2021/02/25/history-of-grape-jelly-cocktail-meatballs/ |
I'm the PP. We are always in a rush for dinner, so we microwave them slightly to unfreeze them (maybe not 100%power but something lower) At the point that they are not frozen, but still cold, we throw them in a pan to brown them. Maybe it's not gourmet, but as i said we are usually rushing dinner. |

Bake on a cookie sheet at 375* for 20 minutes, will be browned on the bottom. Shake and bake 2-3 more minutes and you'll have another browned area, but I'm not sure what I'd do if I wanted them browned all over. Maybe in a pan, but that feels like way too much work for 100 of them. |
