LJMS threats re Thursday?

Anonymous
This is the 2nd threat within 24 hrs. After the first threat we were told “ additional security will be at the school tomorrow morning” yet the kids all say they didn’t not see any additional security. They don’t feel safe and parents picking up kids today saw no additional security.

So glad my kid doesn’t go to that god awful school. I feel bad for the normal kids there.

Apparently the additional security is additional FCPS security staff, not uniformed security guards or police. So it’s not visible because they look like/dress teachers. What are those people going to do in a shooting situation?

My god. I have worked with teenagers for over 20 years and I have seen some things but that note is bone chilling.

Why didn’t this get on the news? Or at least online? Some freaking LEAK this now! More eyes on it, less chance it happens.

SomeONE I meant

The first notice about the graffiti said they did not believe there was a valid threat. The second notice about the social media post does not say that.

Or, you get a lot of copycat threats at that school and others around the area.

Keep them home or don’t but increased police presence doesn’t mean they’re more safe.

Once the officer at Stoneman Douglas ran away and Uvalde happened with police standing outside for 72 minutes I realized if it ever happens at my school we are really on our own. The police have no legal obligation to risk their life to help us, and they won’t, because very few of them are actually prepared to sacrifice their lives to protect.

Local media saying nothing. More eyes need to be on this. School is such a dump so not surprised. If it had different demographics of students say wealthy white students it would
be everywhere.

This could happen at any school-ES, MS, or HS in any region of FCPS. Stop with the ignorance.

+1 an ES teacher-we all watched what happened at Sandy Hook. It can happen anywhere.

+1. My kid goes there for AAP and has had an excellent education. My other child will also be attending LJ.

Have any successful school shooters actually announced their plan beforehand? I always wonder this with bomb threats too - if you’re serious, why announce your plan so it could possibly be thwarted?
