Yea I can see that. UGA has atlanta nearby and they have Hillel.

How many Jews is too many then?

Not too many anywhere. Just meant don't need Tulane UMD like where it's known to be more Jewish. I went to maryland and loved however.

Already applied and has no interest in staying local. Meaning he's not adding more schools

I read a survey the other day that said Jewish students currently feel safest and most comfortable in the state of Florida.

My semi-practicing Jewish child attends UGA and it's been a great fit. University of Florida was also considered; apparently it has the largest Jewish population of any university and tons of ways to get involved.

Lots of Jews at Wisconsin and Emory. UT-Austin is gigantic and very diverse so I would consider it. Not sure about Charleston. UofSC would give me pause.

And how did they decide on UGA vs UF?

And how did they decide on UGA vs UF?

UGA = fat packet
UF = thin white envelope

In other words, the universities decided for them, lol. Not sure what they would've chosen had they been accepted to both

I went to grad school at UT Austin, and there were plenty of very happy Jews there and in Austin, which is very liberal. UT was a great place and I look back extremely fondly on my time there.
