The bolded had large Jewish populations even back when I went to school in the 1980s (I'm Jewish). |
| Won't be any issue at Emory, Charleston,or Wisconsin. |
| Is it good if school has a big Hillel presence? I don't want a big Jew fest lol but don't want him like complete minority. |
| It's a matter of luck and comfort. |
| Agree with Emory and Wisconsin. TX Austin is very large and vary diverse so I don’t think it’s an issue there either. |
| You should be fine at any of those schools, but I would add UF to your list. Their president Ben Sasse had the best response of anyone to the pro-Hamas BS that has been roiling college campuses. |
Chabad is everywhere. And more fun than hillel. |
| Looking at the list. Probably won't get into Emory but it's the best and in the Jewish part of Atlanta. |
| Tulane ? |
| How Jewish are you? What are you looking for? |
Not OP, but I assume you are suggesting Tulane, not implying you would hesitate with it? Lots of Jewish folks at Tulane. |
Not very Jewish but enough that don't want to be uncomfortable. |
How many Jews is too many then? |
| I'm Jewish and looked at all these schools with my Jewish kids. Thought U of South Carolina was the least open to Jewish folks and the people on the tour and at admissions didn't know about Hillel or have information. |
