DS got in too. 3.95 W (11 APs) TO, accomplished musician. From a large NOVA public school. His second choice but would be very happy to go there.

Hooray! My son is in with 4.02 wGPA, 3 APs plus mix of Honors/Regulars, 1280 SAT, 2 varsity sports, and summer employment. Very excited over here!

DD got in. Called me today at work super excited and I'm very proud! Around 4.0 weighted GPA, lots of ECs. Waiting on VT to decide between those two and CNU.

Congrats, OP!! These seem like strong, high stats to me. JMU has an 86% acceptance rate…am I missing something? Not from the DCVM area. Is it much harder to get in now?

It is harder ... depends on what high school you're coming from and what major you're seeking.

my son got in 4.25, handful of DEs and APs, 1459 SATs. waiting on VT and UF to decide.
