Congrats! I'm sure you are thrilled!
For the rest of us trying to navigate college admissions: did he take SAT/ ACT and decide to go TO? If so, what score didn't he submit? Thanks for sharing! |
| Congratulations! Happy news. |
| 🎉🎉🎉 |
| he never prepared took the SAT once got an 1190. Knew JMU was his top and that they really don't care about SAT so did no take again or submit. |
| Is 3.87 weighted or unweighted? |
| weighted |
Congrats, OP!! These seem like strong, high stats to me. JMU has an 86% acceptance rate…am I missing something? Not from the DCVM area. Is it much harder to get in now? |
| I think Naviance 2023 for my kids NOVA HS was 70%. V Tech was 65%. |
ok |
| JMU is a great school and can be anyone’s first choice. Congratulations to the OP. My daughter is at dance and won’t check her decision until later, but she is very excited to see the decision and hopes for an admit. |
It is harder ... depends on what high school you're coming from and what major you're seeking. Congrats, OP! |
| And my dd’s weighted was 4.38. JMU was her top choice. |
| Congratulations! |
76% for 2023. https://unischolars.com/blog/james-madison-university-acceptance-rate/ And 71% for in state (read that somewhere, don't have the link.) Projected to be 69% for 2024: https://www.acceptancerate.com/schools/james-madison-university |
