It's pretty much guaranteed that he drove but parked a few blocks away so the GGW mouth-breathers wouldn't catch and shame him. That's his patented move. |
By whom? The feds already run our system. |
I voted for the Republican. I have to live with my neighbors choices, but hoping next time they'll consider alternatives to Bernie Sanders type representation. |
Look, I'm novice at the law. But aren't there times when there are suits over massive system failures, like title 9? The people of DC are being failed by systems. Federal Investigation, lawsuit and conditions imposed? We are being systemically failed on every level. That was my takeaway from last week's meeting. |

People! We are getting mocked from the other side. They are calling our elected DC government a “clown show.”
But appearances like this, by Frumin?? IT IS NOT HELPING. |
What happened here? For some reason these two or three people were the only ones not be given microphones and their questions were not repeated and Frumin just kind of shuffled uncomfortably up front and gave pleading glances to the Police Chief. It made for a funny five minutes and as the previous poster said, demonstrated the need for these services which Frumin always claims exist but are apparently not available to those who need them. Also noticed that the OUC Director kept on saying to call the OUC (311) for everything. Have you ever tried to call the OUC. They ALWAYS claim that you are supposed to be calling another number and then they just connect you to a random message line no one answers. But she certainly wanted to interject often. |
If “Bill” had only bought that damn house we wouldn’t have mentally ill living unsupported in my building. |
Next time don’t vote for people who explicitly campaign on making your life worse. |
So for some reason Frumin thinks what upper class black professionals really want is neighborhoods with more criminals and drug addicts because it makes them feel more comfortable. And when that doesn't work (because it's obviously not what they want), he'll say they're uncomfortable moving here because we didn't put in even more criminals and drug addicts. |
+1 Thanks a lot, “Bill.” |
Not entirely, but if that is your view: Joe Biden runs your criminal justice system. Happy? |
Upper class black professionals are moving to where other upper class black professionals are - which is NOT where the drug dealers and shoplifters and carjacking teenagers are. Let's face it, the part that nobody on council seems to be able to admit to themselves is that nobody wants to be where that's going on. |
The republican was an awful candidate and barely mentioned crime on his platform. Nice guy and I spoke to him at length, but he wasn’t running to win. His campaign was heavy on no bike lanes…yeah, some people are passionate for or against, but 95% of us don’t care. He also spent a ton of time promoting charter schools. I pointed out that 90% of Ward 3 is DCPS or private and we don’t have any charters in Ward 3. Told him again just not a compelling issue for Ward 3. He claims he is really an independent and only ran Republican because the Republican Party refuses to stand down and not run somebody and endorse an independent. As a result, if he was independent he would split the vote with a republican. |
| I listened to frumin, he's an idiot talking about being black and all this trash. Who elected this guy |
Charter schools are an important part of DC's public educational system. And there is (and historically has been) a Ward 3 cohort at Washington Latin. A number of Ward 3 students also go to Walls, which while not technically a charter is run like one. |
