Ward 3 crime meeting last week

I wasn’t able to go. Can anyone report how the meeting went? TIA.

We attended. I'm not really sure what to say. The only good take away is that Frumin states out loud that he support Pintos bill (I think). And then lots of rather defensive/finger pointing mumbo jumbo from lots of people who should be addressing crime , and then the meeting was taken over by truly rambling people which I didn't think was bad - these are the people Frumin is shoving in buildings with no services, so was hilarious to watch him field their "questions". Then things adjourned.
We have a long path ahead, sigh.

The summary? We’re all screwed.

Not enough police. When OUSA does prosecute, judges throw out cases all the time. And if by some miracle a case makes it to a jury, no way all 12 of our “peers” will convict.

Also Frumin has some weird plan to bring “hope” to the youth of DC.

Is any kind of suit possible, over the total failure of the DC legal system? Seems like we need a custodianship.

+1. He’s completely delusional. He’s basing his policy choices on the fact that a work colleague CHOSE to live in a different neighborhood 40 years ago? We’re all getting punished because of this foggy memory which may or may not be true? This is scary stuff.

Ward 3 residents voted for a guy who campaigned on making your quality of life worse. Sadly, he’s good at his job and delivering on his promise.

What is going on with the Crime Lab? I know the Director of it (Jenifer something) resigned after the accreditation was pulled a couple years ago. But did Bowser and the council actually give a shit and go through and purge the place? It took 3 years to get back to a partial accreditation. Partial!
