Boys are not all right

The Y chromosome is a defect.

Yet, there are still less women in powerful positions, and women still make less than men.

This is so offensive. My son with adhd doesn’t even own a video game console and spends far more time outside than the average kid. Video games can definitely be a problem for some kids/especially boys and all kids these days need more outdoor time but it’s not necessary to equate this with adhd somehow not being real or not needing medication

Nope, I have a boy. Mine doesn't have privilege but very involved parents who make sure everything is ok.

Give me a call when the President and Vice President are both women, the Supreme Court are all women, Wall Street and industry are led by women, the military, science, academia, medicine, etc.

Boys are fine. Even mediocre boys and men are advantaged over women.

Leadership roles like that require years of experience. Yes, boys had an advantage back when Biden was in elementary school.. in the 1950s. In the 1960s when Biden went to college, indeed most college graduates were men.

But times have changed. Now look at people who graduated high school in the last 10 years -- women are outperforming and outnumbering men. It's only a matter of time before people that age have gained the experience and also take top leadership roles.

It just shows how meaningless those measurements are.

That's on us for not voting in women but the candidates we have aren't great. And, for military, are you willing to have your girls serve?

There are far more opportunities for girls now over boys.

Like I said, give me a call when that happens and we can talk.

Uh-huh. Sure. And BTW, the people that voted in the 2016 election did vote for the woman candidate over the man.

Gee what a surprise.

For the last 50 years feminists have attacked men and brainwashed the entire education system to teach in styles that pretty only cater to females. They also drug boys at way, way higher rates due to 'behavioral' issues and for having 'ADD' when all they are are boys who cannot learn in a female dominated learning environment designed to teach girls only.

Males simply learn differently. Rather than rote, kindless dictum where you have to sit in a chair for hours in end listening to female teacher drone on and on, you have to change the way you teach to encourage more problem thinking and use of spatial/visual skills that males excellent at. Rather than yeah about the physics of statics on the board, you have to give them a bunch of scrap and tell them actually build a bridge and use their hands to do so.

Also, men have learned long ago that college is often a very lousy deal. So, soooo much debt and the ROI is often abysmal to negative. How many people these days complain about being caught in a debt trap due to studentoans while all they earn are $40-60k at their jobs that they didn't even really need college degree for? You don't need a college degree to start a business, become and entrepreneur or to work in the trades. Have fun with six figure student loan debt. Just don't ask other people to pay it off for you because you made a dumb decision.

This isn't really true. Schools in past decades had more rote learning, more direct instruction, less experiential learning, and more time seated at desks.

Boys did well then. Why? Because we had high expectations for them then. And now, the valedictorian (for schools that still have one), class president, leaders, are girls. Now we have high expectations for girls and low expectations for boys. We do not require good behavior or good grades from boys. So we don't get it.

This is the real answer, the real difference. From longtime educators.

Something somewhere has gone horribly wrong.

https://www.forbes.com/sites/nickmorrison/2024/01/14/from-kindergarten-to-college-girls-are-outperforming-boys/

Girls are outperforming boys at all levels of education from kindergarten to college, according to new research.

The findings will reinforce fears that not only are boys lagging behind girls by the time they graduate, but that they are at a disadvantage right from the start of their formal schooling.

While the high school gender gap has caused concern for some time, the Cambridge University study based on U.K. data is one of the few to identify the differences at all stages of education

The only subject where boys consistently did better than girls was math, but this was only apparent at the highest levels of attainment.

“The most striking pattern from the analysis was that sex gaps were present from the earliest stages of education to the latest,” said Matthew Carroll, who led the research.

Girls have always out performed boys until graduate
school when males then out perform females. What difference does it make because it's still a white man's world!
