Chances that school will be canceled tomorrow?

Who are you people whose husbands can problem-solve?! Where do you find husbands who can do this? Mine needs an engraved decision tree and even then will need a million texts for validation and direction on every single point.

I'm happy to answer all questions from DH, because the alternative is that he makes mistakes, like forgetting to pick up kids on time, or dropping them off at the wrong time. In freezing temperatures, NOT what I want for my kids.

My husband has diagnosed ADHD and suspected HFA (our son has diagnosed ADHD/HFA). So this is my reality.
My best friend has a very competent husband who is actually the primary parent while she works.

It keeps coming down. Likely closure.

I'm guessing 50% chance of a delay. I don't think a closure is in the cards or the clouds.

Who are you kidding? 100% chance of delay. The roads will be pure ice tomorrow a.m.

DCPS will totally be delayed at the very least. Overnight everything is going to freeze. This morning was dangerous. The large extended Metro buses were jackknifing on the icy roads this morning.

Does your husband work? Can he problem solve at a similar level at work? If so, he is capable of doing it at home too and is choosing not to. That's sad. I can understand why you'll pick up the slack so your kids don't suffer from your husband's sad choices, but you shouldn't pretend that he's unable to handle a delayed opening of school.

I found mine at church! Everyday he gets the toddler ready and out the door on his way to work. Even packs his lunch, does his laundry, takes him to doctors appointments, brings him to gym classes and the library, etc.

Did Capital Weather Gang stop doing their SchoolCast? I haven’t seen it and last one seems to be from 2019.

I think definitely a delay.

When will they call it? I wish they’d do it tonight so we can prepare for the delay.

New to DCPS? You will be lucky if they call it by 5 am. Usually around 6am after everyone else has had a decision for hours.

I had to be out today and the roads are awful. People are sliding all over. Hopefully at least a delay.
