MPD is not the cause of DC's skyrocketing crime rate.

It’s USAO and federal judges first and foremost at the root of the problem.

The 2nd tier problems are MPD refusing to do their jobs and DC AG coddling of kiddie criminals.

Everything these criminals are doing are already crimes. Government agents seem unwilling to apply the law to DC’s criminals.

Just further supports my theory.

There had been so much progress there but violence and robberies have really been increasing.

Pinto's hearing has started.

Bonds and Frumin are there in person. Frumin is not impressive.

Nadeau is attending virtually.

Why does she always look disheveled?

CM Christina Henderson is there in person. She seems somewhat better than some others.

When will we hear from catch-and-release Janeese? I want to hear about all the trauma that results from putting violent criminals in jail.

He's Hamlet on criminal justice.

She completely sht the bed at her own hearing last night. The new chief was impressive and made Nadeau look like a lightweight in comparison.

Here's some video: https://twitter.com/aprilhb/status/1729672973689200828

She always becomes just a stammering idiot whenever someone challenges her. Just an overwhelmingly unimpressive council member.

I like Henderson. I think she’s the real deal. When she was first elected I thought she might be too wonky/academic but everything I’ve seen and heard about her is positive. she’s a careful and informed lawmaker. Mayoral material?

Make your feelings on the bill known not only to your CM but also Mendelson and the AL members who represent all of us.

These measures all seem destined to land more Black children in prison.

We all know these kids grew up in under-resourced communities, and were never given the opportunities they deserved growing up. Prison is not going to make their lives better.

She is completely aloof, just like the rest of the democrats running the clown-show D.C. government has turned into.

Enjoy your crime; you voted for this.

And letting them off without any sort of punishment or rehabilitation -- which is exactly what's happening now -- is not going to make anyone else's lives better.

Did I read that correctly on Twitter that she left the hearing after only 10 minutes, barely 12 hours after she said she needed to hear from more voices before deciding whether she was going to vote for the bill?
