If you are mid 40s female what jeans are you wearing?

I wear high-waist curvy cut jeans with a straight leg or slight bootcut. That's what looks good on me.
They're not in right now so I buy secondhand or wear what I have, which are from Talbots and Eddie Bauer (or Macys house brand for outdoor stuff). You can still find a couple kinds of high waist on clearance at Macys.

Many websites have gotten good about posting the rise, inseam, width at knee, and width at ankle. If you look up your current jeans or other jeans you’ve tried on, you can get a good sense of what you like and order appropriately, since terminology like bootcut or straight leg can widely vary from brand to brand, and model pictures are often misleading.

I saw an ad for Gap (Factory I think) pull in wide leg jeans! They looked appealing for us comfy pants only crowd.

I used to love gap pants, I had like 7 pairs of the “perfect trouser,” but everything I’ve tried lately is a big miss. I wear their tall sizes so maybe it’s a limited problem but the rise, the waist-hip ratio, everything was wrong for me. But I do okay in Athleta so I don’t get it.

The madewell kick out crop looks bizarre, I agree!

Old Navy men’s jeans. Feel free to judge me, I love how they fit.
I’m 5”7 and regular women’s jeans are too short but “ tall jeans” are too long. Mens 32 length is just right.

Nautica dark wash mid rise straight. They fit me really well and I paid $30. I am slim with no hips.

Jeans I wear most often:

J Crew vintage straight jeans - had these 2-3 years, they are my everyday weekend jeans

Old Navy mid-rise bootcut - Bought these this year to see if I missed the style.... this particular pair is a bit too stretchy but I do really like the full length bootcut.

Old Navy High Waisted Loose Jeans - Also new this year, I like them with the right top (also like the full length)

Gap relaxed gray jeans - a few years old so not sure of the style. They are very similar to the Abercrombie mom jeans. I love the look of gray jeans and I am committed to wearing these more.

Boden front line wide leg jeans - My favorite jeans that I hope to never have to part with.

“Kick crops” are a crime against proportions.
