I don't know about the adult. But I know if you ask 100 middle school 8th grade boys at least 90 would fool around with hot teacher if you know you wont be caught. It's a classic male fantasy.

I am a woman who was sexually assaulted by another woman. I've thought about this a lot. I think in the end it comes down to power, and I think control. The woman who assaulted me wanted someone she could manipulate, and who no one would believe if I came forward. I'm not the only person she did this to. There were others, both men and women, always younger (sometimes much younger). Many were people who had worked under or had a mentor-mentee type relationship with her.

I think exploiting us made her feel more powerful in her own life. She had major childhood trauma and serious mental health issues.

I also think this is probably why most men sexually assault women. I know people think it's desire, and I'm sure that's often part of it. But it's more than that, because why would men want a woman who doesn't want them? Even if very attracted to her.

It's about control.

There are lots of teenage girls who will tell you they developed crushes on their male teachers too, particularly if those teachers were under 30 and conventionally handsome.

And yet, somehow, I bet you won’t call it “a classic female fantasy” and waste bandwidth and data trying normalize sexual relations between a teacher and their student.

It's a fantasy because they are consumed with sexual thoughts and feelings but at that age they have no idea what the actual effect on them and their sexuality not only as a young teen but going forward as an older teen and later as an adult will be. I know a guy who was seduced by a teacher when he was 16, he never revealed that to anyone until recently, he is now late 40s. He sees now how that experience warped his development and views on sexuality well into his adulthood and caused a lot of problems for him. He's hasn't reported her to any authority and won't even name her, he is just sharing his experience with friends. He fully admits he was flattered and willing when it happened but that is definitely not the whole story.

I’ve heard a variation of this comment a million times over the years, a man thinking that they would have been glad for this to happen to them as teenagers, but you are only speculating that you would have liked it. You don’t know what you would have felt, because it didn’t happen to you. You have no idea what it would have been like, or the aftermath it might have had later in your life.
