I must have screwed up so badly: I invited a woman over for a weekend lunch to my house to meet my dogs on a second date, and she was apparently totally thinking we were going to have sex, and wanted to have sex, but she initiated right when I had to leave for family reasons. I was caught by complete surprise and left her abruptly at the worst possible time. Haven’t seen her since. Now I know she must have been operating under these code rules that me inviting to my place meant “for sex.” Lesson learned I guess.

OP here. We haven’t even kissed yet. Just trying to see what he’s thinking. Normally I wait a few months for sex, as I feel like we are still getting to know each other. He actually invited me over for the 3rd date, but we had to switch locations due to scheduling issues.
