Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS)
No, it's an issue with tech. It applied to some types of devices and not others. |
Isn't that the entire point of "equity grading" at MCPS? It's a do over - take the test as many times as you need to in order to master the subject. |
All the FCPS high schools now have chromebooks and that's what they used today for the PSAT. |
| My FCPS student was fine today but is an 11th grader so has the older laptops that she had since last year and not the Chromebook. So what’s gonna happen now if the Chromebook’s don’t work with the test? |
| My kid took it on an FCPS Chromebook and it worked. They just had to clear their cache and it was fine. He did say the second portion of the math was a lot of stuff he has never heard of before. |
| Disaster… lol |
|
The issue was the program/site that college board had the proctors using to manage things. The app the students use to take the test was fine. It didn't matter what computer the kids had...we had both dells and chromebooks in our school today

This is what my kid told me happened at Churchill. They did not have issues but the Procter did. |
| My FCPS student said the exam started late but was fine after they got the go ahead and began the test. |
DCs school avoided this by not dismissing anyone until all rooms had finished testing. The school issued Chromebooks worked fine and everyone was able to start within about 30 minutes of the originally planned time. |
Same here, but for PSAT10. |

My kid's mcps high school had no issues that I'm aware of.
I don't care if some kids have to take it again and make a better score than my kid. It's a PRACTICE test. |
| Mine reported that they thought the digital was easier than the paper practice tests. What did your kids report? |
Yes! Sounds like the media. |
Yes. The digital is supposed to be easier but a worse curve than the paper. |
