| If people didn’t like it, you wouldn’t see people wearing UVA shirts everywhere and stickers on the cars. People don’t show school spirit for places they don’t like. |

UVa is very Greek life dominated. If DC likes frats/sororities, then probably UVa will be a good fit.
If DC is more introverted or less into Greek life or very religious, then UVa maybe is not such a good social fit. Very student personality dependent outcomes on happiness. |
Do you have a student there? I actually know one of my kids friends from HS who is very religious and she loves it. There are several clubs and orgs that are geared toward that, such as Chi Alpha. |
THIS ^^ |
Why did you/your kid hate PSU? I have now been there four times and it gets better every time I'm in State College? The campus is gorgeous and well manicured. The Rah Rah sports are crazy fun. Why is IU still on your list? Bloomington is wonderfull, but... We crossed off Wisconsin and Michigan. Each great schools. I guess, to each their own. |
We also crossed off Wisconsin after visiting. Haven’t visited IU but applying as another safety. |
No. That does not answer OP’s question. Not one bit. |
| You won’t find useful information about UVa on this site. It’s better to check out online posts from the admissions office directly. |
Well the admissions office isn’t going to say that any students are unhappy. |
Sorry your kids can’t get in |
Perhaps they would share objective data about the graduation rate or describe new initiatives to improve student well-being. You know: information about the school. |
+1 without fail, the most affected people I have met while living in the DC area have turned out to be UVA alum. |
+2 And the parents are even worse, if that’s possible. |

| You gotta love the helpful posters on this board! What 3-4 people actually answering the question? |
