what are your best "finds" on Nordstrom Rack?

I like Frank & Eileen button-downs but won't pay retail for them. I've gotten three from Nordstrom Rack (2 in-store, one on the site) for $80-$100.

Shoes are really the highlight, I think. I always find great deals, usually last season's style/colors.

I've given up. The last time I bought clothes at Nordstrom rack (and it was in store), they fell apart faster than stuff from Amazon. Super low quality. I can guarantee that -- well at least what I bought anyway -- was never in a regular Nordstrom's.

Sadly I think you're right for about 80% of what they sell. But there are occasionally gems buried in there that are sale pieces from the regular store.

This thread inspired me to go peek at the site. I got Frame leather pants for $99, a Frame 100% silk dress for $179, and Vionic loafers for $44. So there are deals if you look! L'Agence silk shirts are another favorite thing to buy there but sadly none of the colors/prints I liked were in my size.

I like Gibsonlook blazers and tops.

I have gotten Mother jeans on sale

Nic+Zoe tops fit me well

You want to look at the tags to make sure they’re from the original store

This is helpful! What am I looking for on the tag? How can I tell it is from the original store?

I check them out once in a while for items from the original store, but so much junk to wade through I run out of patience. The lines to pay are too long and slow.

Sweet!

What a find!

I am curious to know this too. I go mostly by brand. There are higher end brands that are only sold in the regular store, like Veronica Beard, Mother, Frame, Frank & Eileen, etc. Other brands make a NR-specific line like a PP mentioned.

One time, just the one time, I found a pair of Hoka running shoes with a deep discount. This was like 8 years ago. I still have them. I love those shoes. I looked at replacing them, but man, they are pricey.

Former retail employee. This won't necessarily help you everywhere. Not sure how things work at Nordstrom rack, but when we had our biannual sales at my store we would get big shipments of product that our buyers had purchased that ended up not being good enough to go out on the floor in stores. All of it had regular tags as if it had been in store at a regular price, and we would scan the barcode on the tag and put the clearance sale price on there. So, for example, in our store, all of our sweaters were $69.95 -- and we'd get the shipment of these crap sweaters that were bad enough they didn't want them on the floor dragging down the brand, and these crap sweaters would have the normal $69.95 price tag on there just like every other sweater in the store, and we'd scan that tag and put the orange clearance sticker on there for, oh, say 35.88. So customers would think they were getting a 65.95 sweater at a big discount. But the company would never have been able to sell it for $69.95 because it was trash, which is why it hadn't ever been in the store in the first place. No difference on the tag between stuff that had actually been in the store and the junk that arrived just for the sale rack. Sometimes people would get so excited about the supposed discount that they'd buy stuff that was awful.

Not to derail but does anyone have a favorite Nordstrom Rack, TJ Maxx influencers on IG? I'm always overwhelmed when I go into these stores, but am also intrigued when I hear about the great deals people are getting.
