Just surfing the site and seeing lots of brands that I don't recognize or that are kind of blah plus not much of a discount.
What are the best brands on there that you look for? Stuff that doesn't come very often and/or when you find it at a cheap price you feel excited? I see all the Madewell but it's not that cheap or great. I like the Vince stuff but the Vince Camuto line seems to have really gone downhill and Vince is pricy. Eileen Fisher and Theory dont' have much selection and at least for Theory not much discount either. Some Hudson jeans look ok, price is ok. |
| Quay sunglasses. |

I really like Melloday tops. The cut is great for me and they're easy to dress up for work or down with jeans.
I get almost all my bras there. |

I like to sort by percent off, then filter by my size. I then filter by fabric: 100% cotton, silk, linen, wool, whatever filters out the synthetics and polyester. Then I look to see what brand options are left or even just scroll through what's there. I've gotten nice ALC dresses, Alice and Olivia, cashmere sweaters, linen sundresses.
Keep in mind brands like Madewell, Joie, and I think even Vince have a dedicated line they market to Nordstrom Rack that isn't the same as what's in the department stores and is closer to a factory store item. Not all of the items online fall into that category but a lot of them are. |
| Several Lafayette 148 jackets for about 20% of the original price; a Loro Piano coat for under $200; a blouse that cost $.01; an expensive silk scarf (I don’t recall the brand) for $3. I’ve also purchased quite a few pairs of great shoes over the years, and my current favorite Donald Pliner loafers are from Nordstrom Rack. |
Oh: And Democracy jeans. |
| Summer dresses from their website. I wander into the L St store occasionally and have picked up a few nice pairs of shoes. Definitely not consistent though. |
| The one on L St is where I go for sunglasses. They always have a bunch. |
| I'm not sure that this is a "find" because they pretty much always have it, but I like Sam Edelman shoes so when I'm looking for a new pair (any variety, really, since Sam Edelman makes everything) I go to Rack and get them. |
Sorry, I answered this to quickly. All of my major finds — except for some of the shoes— were at an an actual store. I use the site for shoes, jeans, cosmetics, and accessories— all things that seem to be original quality vs made-for-“discount” quality. |
| A couple nice petite sized dresses, London Times brand |
| I’ve gotten Hudson jeans, Paige jeans, and JCrew blazers. |
| A nice Barbour Waxed Field Jacket for 50 bucks. I thought it was used at first, but on closer examination, pretty brand new. |
Sweet! |
| I think the stores are better than the website for bargains, but in general there are fewer gems to be found. My best most recent purchase was a pair of black AGL flats for under $100. |
