Not OP, but PP and I voted against this because I have asthma and didnt want this to happen. I went to a college with thons of pot smokers and it sucked. |
| Call 911? Lol |
|
I called Maryland state police the other day on some guys on motorcycles who were doing 100 mph on 270, riding and weaving up between the lanes of traffic and just asking for a huge accident. The dispatcher said to me, “well, you know, it’s an unwritten rule now that we don’t go after them.” Then she told me to call my member of Congress. (No idea what effect that would have…)
So if the cops are letting people do something that dangerous, with no enforcement, they’re not going to go after someone smoking pot at the Wharf. Society is breaking down. Go ahead and call me a “square,” lol. |
Same with National Harbor, and Old Town, of late, OP. |
Congressmen need fresh, young organ donors. |
| If someone was drinking in public or drinking and driving they'd be arrested but somehow pot gets a pass. They should have the same enforcement and same penalties. |
| Really? You think anyone drinking at the wharf is arrested? |
You are a liar |
| Honestly it stinks everywhere it's legal. I went to Chicago for work about a month ago and decided to visit Millennium park. It stunk and half the people sitting on benches were smoking pot. It was so bad I had to leave the park. I also did a California trip earlier this summer and it also reeked of pot anywhere there was outdoor seating. |
| At least in DC and I know in Maryland and probably these other cities, it’s not legal to smoke pot in public places. So those people are actually breaking the law. |
| Call the cops and insist they do something. |
|
Drive just a few more blocks and you'll see homeless tents and an open air drug market.
The police will laugh at you if you call. They don't even enforce the chronic and obvious shoplifting at the SE Giant, you think they're going to be bothered by a general pot smell? |
| I'm in Maryland and also miserable from pot smell. It's pervasive. |
Found the pothead. |
I regularly smell it on my commute from MD to DC. |
