Two words-Union Station. Maybe they take a lot of trains? Something needs to be done on every level. I blame this on our City Council.

Four words: Not under DC authority.

Good, because this is unacceptable:

DC currently has no functional govt and it is anarchy. Congress needs to step in to restore basic law and order.

Another opponent of democracy and supporter of authoritarianism heard from. Or maybe it's the same one.

Can we get a Control Board 2.0? Set it to expire in 15-20 years and we can see if DC learns how to adult in that time.

And yet, the Council and Mayor could make a stink about its sorry state and demand accountability. Have they? They advocate for DC residents, don't they?

If the DC Council and the mayor created lasting peace in the world, you would still be complaining about them on DCUM.

They do, and if union station was an actual issue to dc residents and not a right wing dystopian talking point, they'd probably spend more effort on it.

Remember when Congress overturned DC’s Crime bill law? Not too long ago?

- Republicans in Congress muck up DC government plans — then blame DC’s government for being ineffectual.
— It’s WAY past time for Statehood. Taxation without representation sucks, and is anti-American by any reasonable standards.

Anyone who views this as “anarchy” — usually pronounced from the safety of deliberately exclusionary, cushy spaces — really needs to take their power-hungry projections with them when they leave.

Wanting basic law and order is not supporting authoritarian regimes.

You are a dumb anarchist supporter with an IQ 2 std below the mean.

It’s really cute how much of a problem you have with being able to read a basic graph. It speaks volumes. Unfortunately you are deaf to the message…..or too stupid to understand what those stats mean.

Uh…. thats because DC had a way lower murder rate in 2012 that all those Midwest and southern shithole cities, but guess what, the per capita murder rate in those places is HIGHER than in DC right now.

Correct. However, advocating for authoritarianism is supporting authoritarianism. "DC currently has no functional govt and it is anarchy. Congress needs to step in to restore basic law and order." is supporting authoritarianism and opposing democracy.

Take a look at the per capita crime stats of the districts where these republican Yahoos hail from and see if you want them to be in charge.

You must be joking. Most GOP districts have far lower murder per capita rates than DC.

Oh, sorry, I forgot math is a white/ GOP thing.

The nation's capital shouldn't be the example for the world and have the lowest crime of the country, it's an embarrassment and a poor example. I am all for material law and sending the military in to clean up the hoods and thugs.
